The Fennimore Lions Club was chartered in 1962  with 16 members. The original members are as follows:

The Club was sponsored by the Lions Club of Highland whose President at the time was Mr. Cecil Tanner. In a letter from the District Governor at that time the new club was advised to keep in touch with the sponsoring club, hold the board meetings reguarly, keep all the members busy, interested and active. Collect the dues regularly and see that the secretary sends in his monthly reports on time. These are very important matters necessary for an outstanding, active and successful Lions Club
